Palisades Day Camp

The Palisades Summer Day Camp is entering its fourth year, and with that, we are making a big change. Our wonderful Tennis Pro, Bob Walsh, will be taking over the daily management of our camp. We are very excited to have Bob on board as our Director of the Porpoise Camp!

The focus of the camp is on making life long pool friends while participating in sports, swimming, crafts and games. The camp is open to children ages 5, who have completed kindergarten, to age 12. Children 13 and over may apply to be volunteers to the camp and receive community service credit. Volunteer spaces fill up fast and are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Palisades Day Camp will dovetail off of the morning swimming and tennis programs but your children are not required to participate in either swimming or tennis to attend camp. The camp hours are from 11am—3pm. The camp will vary each day but may include games such as basketball, soccer, volley ball, dodge ball, kickball, water polo, swimming, ping pong, tennis, water balloons, shuffleboard, board games, and arts & crafts. The camp will provide a snack each afternoon plus, every Friday, there will be a special lunch such as pizza or barbeque included in the camp fee.

Day in the life of an Ideal Palisades Pool Rat:

8:30am – 9:30am Swim team,

9:30am – 10:00am swim clinic,

10:15am – 11:00am Tennis Clinic,

11:00am – 3:00pm Camp,

3:30pm – 4:30pm Dive Team or Tennis Clinic

4:30pm – 5:15pm Swim team,

5:30pm – 7:00pm Dive team.

8:30am – 7:00pm fun filled at Palisades!!!!

Camp will run from June 16th through August 15th. Camp now is on a week to week basis! You no longer have to sign up for two consecutive weeks. The price of the camp is $150 per week. There is no camp on July 4th and the price of that week will be $120. We offer a discount to families who enroll more than one child. Additionally, we encourage signing-up for more than two week, and if you do, your family will receive a discount. If you sign up for more than two weeks, your rate will be reduced to $125 for each additional week. For families that enroll more than one child, the first child pays $150 for the first two weeks and the second (and any additional) child pays $125 per child per week. If you have two or more children enrolled for more than two weeks each child pays $125 for any additional week.

So for example, if you have three children, you pay $150 for the first child, $125 for the second child, and $125 for the third child for the first two week they are signed-up for camp. If they sign-up for three to five more weeks, you will pay $125 for the first child, $125 for the second child and $125 for the third child for any additional weeks. If you only enroll one child, you will pay $150 for the first two weeks and $125 for any additional weeks.

Lunch on Fridays is included in the price of the camp; however, you may purchase lunch for your child Monday through Thursday for an additional $20.00 fee. Camp lunch is provided by The Bean Bag and will include a main course, side, dessert and drink.

One more MAJOR change, a member may sponsor a non-pool member as a guest to camp. The non-member must pay an additional $20 per week guest fee and may only attend with their sponsor.

Registration

Camp spaced is limited. In order to be guaranteed a space, you may pre-register by downloading the registration form on our website (www.palisadespool.org) and sending the form along with your check made out to Palisades Swimming Pool Association to the address on the form.

Rain Policy

We play in light sprinkles but cancel for thunder and lightning.
